Today is China’s traditional Dragon Boat Festival holiday.The origin of the Dragon Boat Festival is the memory of the great poet Qu Yuan suicided in the Mi Low river for nation.Chinese traditional culture on the use of bamboo metaphor gentleman.So the Dragon Boat Festival send Tzung Tzu to Qu Yuan.Tzung Tzu will be wrapped with bamboo leaves.
A very popular dish during the Dragon Boat festival is tzung tzu. This tasty dish consists of rice dumplings with meat, peanut, egg yolk, or other fillings wrapped in bamboo leaves.The tradition of tzung tzu is meant to remind us of the village fishermen scattering rice across the water of the Mi Low river in order to appease the river dragons so that they would not devour Chu Yuan.
Tzung Tzu(glutinous rice dumpling) called Zong Zi in China.Today’s recommendation is sweet dumplings.Tomorrow will be recommended to do with meat dumplings

Key material:
glutinous rice,
reed mace(bamboo leaf),
Chinese jujube,
Bean paste,
Seasoning:
sugar,
honey,
Before cooking:
1.Give the glutinous rice a long soak before cooking,the time more than 8 hours.
2.Cleaned the reed mace or bamboo leaves and soaked them.
3.Clean chinese jujube by the brush

Cooking processes:
1.A couple of reed mace or the bamboo leaves overlap and fold them into a cone.
2.Pack the glutinous rice to the half cone and put one chinese jujube or bean paste then fill with the glutinous rice.
3.Parcel the glutinous rice and jujube or bean paste in the reed mace or bamboo leaves then tight bundle with a piece of thread.
4.Steam all products about 1hour.

1.Good taste with sugar or honey.

杳冥冥兮羌昼晦 “All gloomy and dark is the day;
东风飘兮神灵雨 The east wind drifts and god sends down rain.
留灵修兮憺忘归 Waiting for the divine one, I forget to go home.
岁既晏兮孰华予 The year is late. Who will now bedeck me?
采三秀兮于山间 “I pluck the larkspur on the mountain side,
石磊磊兮葛蔓蔓 The rocks are craggy; and the vines tangled.
怨公子兮怅忘归 Complaining of the young lord, sadly I forget to go home.

猿啾啾兮狖夜鸣 The gibbons mourn, howling all the night;
风飒飒兮木萧萧 The wind whistles and the trees are bare.
