Chinese Dessert:Chinese yam ball
Chinese people said Chinese yam for good heathy.Today’s special is a snack in China. Easy cook and delicious.This snack is one of the best food in your afternoon tea time.It named Shan Yao Yuan Zi in China.
Shanyao(山药) meaning Chinese yam in Chinese.Why called Shanyao?Shan(山) means mountain.Yao(药) means medicine.Shanyao from mountain long time ago. Because of its medicinal value,so Chinese people called it Shan Yao(medicine in mountain).Yuanzi(圆子) meaning ball.

Chinese yam
Coconut mash( Corn starch, Instant milk powder,sesame seed)
Filling:
Bean paste(Jam)
Before cooking:
1. Clean and skin the Chinese yam.
2.Steam Chinese yam about 20 minutes.
3.Put Chinese yam out the steamer until cold.
Cooking processes:
1.Press Chinese yam until become mud.
2.Divide the Chinese yam to some sections.
3. Flatten each piece with hand and Place one teaspoonful of filling in center then enclose filling then pinch to seal..
4.Roll each filled skin into a ball and coat outside with desiccated coconut..
Attention:
If you want to use corn starch,you must heating it in the microwave oven 2 minutes.
When you steamed chinese yam, we must frame in containers.
